Overview
As a Product Designer, I was responsible for the general overhaul of the Data Lineage diagram tool, driving and solving UX improvements and adding new features.
Expand hidden relations
Not all relations are always visible. A numbered circle indicates the count of hidden relations for a specific node, providing a clear reminder that the entire flow may not be displayed.
Navigate the data with attributes
Data lineage allows to view attributes such as flags or data stewards to give more context to displayed databases, columns or folders.
Show data source
If the data is being parsed through a script, a script icon is displayed on the corresponding relation, allowing users to easily view more details in the side panel.
Preview panel
In-dept details about each object can be displayed in the preview panel.
